Introduction In generalizing the regular semigroups, Tang [11] in 1997 introduced a generalized Green relation [L.sup.**] on a semigroup S by defining (a, b) [member of] [L.sup.**] for a,b [member of] S such that (ax, ay) [member of] R if and only if (bx,by) [member of] R for any x,y [member of] [S.sup.1], where R is the usual Green relation. It is easy to observe that L [subset or equal to] [L.sup.*] [subset or equal to] [L.sup.**] and moreover, Tang [11] shown that [L.sup.**] is a right congruence on any semigroup S. According to [2], we formulate the definition of wrpp semigroups as follows.
